Mobile ban inspired by corporates
There is more to the ban on pre-paid services in Jammu and Kashmir than what meets the eye. This single step, as it turns out, fulfilled not only the agenda of the security apparatus but also apparently the corporate sector.
Silence of mobile companies bears testimony to the fact that the ban was not imposed in a huff. Neither was the recent comment of northern army commander about 'agitational terrorism' an off cuff remark. Interestingly, both developments are interlinked and intertwined.
Sources confirmed that the two line order of home department, banning the pre-paid mobiles, had the backing of corporate world and had been reportedly taken in league with major players in the mobile market.
