Yasin ends fast after Prime Minister’s assurance
Chairman JKLF Mohammad Yasin Malik this evening finally ended his fast after six days of hunger strike in protest against the hostilities against Muslims and Kashmiris in Jammu and elsewhere and the economic blockade to Kashmir.
JKLF Chief was discharged from SKIMS where he was undergoing treatment following deterioration in his health due to the fast. Amid pro-freedom slogans, a large number of people including women and children later took Malik back home from SKIMS in the shape of a rally.
They stayed on, raising slogans until the convoy of vehicles carrying Yasin Malik reached Maisuma locality. Anticipating protests on the arrival of JKLF chief back home after six days of hospitalisation, there was heavy deployment of police and CRPF in Maisuma and adjoining areas.
